 Distinctiveness :

Vision: To promote good quality education and training in different disciplines of Microbiology.

To become a centre of repute, collaborating with national  and international universities and industries for research, training and placements. 

To provide hands on training in various applied aspects of the disciplines like analysis of food samples, clinical samples, isolation and identification of microorganisms, their cultivation, preservation etc.

 

Priority: The antimicrobial activity assay for the de novo synthesized organic molecules and other phytochemicals to prove their therapeutic values.

 

Thrust: 1.Structural elucidation of antimicrobial and other bioactive compounds from microbes and medicinal plants.

  1. Green synthesis of nanoparticles

  2. Microbial degradation of agricultural wastes and environmental pollutants, environmental carcinogenesis and mutagenesis

  3. Screening of Medicinal plants for their bioactivity and toxicity
