Library Services to Visually Impaired Students:

Computers: - Dedicated 05 computers with headphones and specialized software JAWS (Job Access with Speech) Professional-V.17 software for visually challenged students.

JAWS: - Five License copies JAWS Professional Version 17. JAWS are a screen reader that works with Windows operating system to provide access to today’s popular software applications and the Internet. JAWS use an integrated voice synthesizer and computer’s sound card to output the content of computer screen to speakers.

Braille books: - Library having more than 125 Braille books on syllabus as well as other motivational and reading.

CD’s: - College library having 271 Motivational & Educational CD’s.

Identity Card Facility: - Library Department provides Identity card to such students within five to ten minutes.

Special Provision: - The library provides special facilities to the physically challenged persons so that they do not need to stay in queue for books. They are offered direct access to the circulation counter. The library staffs assist them at personal level for searching the required sources of information. Library Staff take visually impaired students wherever they want to go in the college campus.

Audio Books: - More than 2000 audio books are available through Yashowani, Pune. Yashowani, Pune helping in recording books for visually impaired students on demand.

Book Bank: - Book Bank facility is given to the physically challenged students whole set is allotted to them for recording.

DOT Mini Device:- Library Department Provides 12 DOT Mini Device to Visually impaired students. DOT Mini device is like recorder having 8GB memory card with Braille words key.

KIBO XS Devices: - Library Department having three KIBO XS devices. KIBO XS is a device like books scanner which scan book page and recorded in audio format on Cloud server. Students retrieve data through their Android Mobile phone using KIBO app from Google Play Store.
